Look: Cloudy golden color with a slight golden head
Taste: Barley flavor with a slight sharp bite
Conclusion: The Brewbaker's site actually has it's beers side by side with what they are supposedly comparable to in the better known beer world. This one is supposed to be Sierra Nevada Pale Ale's twin. It's has a very cloudy body like a Hef but come through with the pale ale bite and with a light barley flavoring that is just so refreshing.
This was actually a great little ale with hints of yeast and barley but stays a nice drink throughout. Well balanced and crisp like a good pale ale should be. And although it's made in Surf City(Huntington Beach), also known lovingly as Shitwater Beach, I give it a thumbs up. Huntington Beach is a beautiful city, don't get me wrong but the water is crap...and I'm being literal! There may be hope for the city yet. A great little obscure pale ale.
7 Brews!
