Look: Brown/velvet with a tiny cocoa head
Taste: Medium body, aged oak and malts
Conclusion: This is one of 10 beers I received in a "Beers of the World" pack. The last one I had was godawful so I had absolutely no expectations. This was the strongest of the bunch with a 7.2% alcohol kick.
The drink starts with a tasty and dense malt base that expands into a deep and aged oak body and finishes with almost no aftertaste. This was a great start to the whole pack but I have a feeling I should have saved this for last. Hopefully I'll find some more surprises. This certainly was an excellent dark German brew that I'd go back for in a heart beat.
