Look: Maple oak with a cocoa colored, minimal head
Taste: Sweet malt with a light mouthfeel and almost no bitterness
Conclusion: Who better to teach us the ways of Oktoberfest than good old Spaten of Alemania? Since these types of beers are brewed to be drunk in mass quantity I was astonished at the heaviness, or at the least the illusion of it, that came with the drink.
The taste is of sweet malt and barley. This is, quite honestly, the best Oktoberfest I've tasted. Ze Germans at Spaten definitely have this beer down pat. An overachieving drink that avoids falling into the bland and watered-down cage that too many Oktoberfests get trapped in.
7 Brews!
