Smithwicks

Look: Ice tea colored body with a cream white head

Taste: Very mild, lazy barley flavored with a small amount of bitterness

Conclusion: This is a pleasant little ale with a flavorful but bland taste. Sort of like iced tea, now that I think about it. Anyway it leave you with the flat taste at the end like tea.

Pronounced Smithicks, it's made by the Guinness people so you know they put some quality into it. One of my pals thinks this is the king of dark ales. I like it but it's very quite and just wish it had more flavor to push into my mouth. I'm greedy, I need more taste. Then again it's an Irish ale so I suppose it's mild by traits. I'll never turn down one of these but it isn't quite on my kick-ass list.

6 Brews!

BLAND?! You got to be kidding me! This beer is great! I fancy it the love child of Guinness and Newcastle. It has the thick smokey flavor and texture of Guinness and the nutty color and sweetness of Newcastle.

Bland... Please son, try it again on tap. You too will be singing its praises.
