Look: Dark mahogany colored body with almost no head. After pour there is a thin film of vanilla colored bubbles.
Taste: Mild oak flavor initially and finishes with a light toasty bite.
Conclusion: This is a very quiet but tasty oatmeal stout. A lot of oatmeal stouts tend to be molasses thick but this one was actually more akin to a regular stout. Smooth and silky but light on the tongue. If you've never tried an oatmeal stout but wanted a quality tasting one without the pudding consistency this one would be a good place to start. It has a mild nutty flavor that is extremely smooth but not too complex. Frankly I prefer thicker oatmeal stouts; I felt like it was a trait that separated oatmeals from the regulars. But if your a fan of lighter consistency stout I'd recommend a try at this one. Hell, my wife(not a dark beer fan) even had a couple sips of it! It'd probably be great with a steak or BBQ. Have a try!
