Taste: Initially roasted and sweet and finishes off with chocolaty nutty flavors. Head is also sweet and thick.
Conclusion: Okay, the mouth feel of this stout is extremely thick. Almost like a thick oatmeal stout in texture. That said I loved every one of these little brews. They come in a four pack and are just so damn delicious. The sweetness isn't sickening and doesn't turn you off. It pairs with the roasted, malted flavors to create a potent, robust and tasty stout that's just massive. It's sits heavy on the tongue and will make you smarter...err, what I mean is it will make you want to buy more, which is a smart decision, which will make you smarter...ya. Stouts by trait are dark and roasty but this one brings much more to the table. It is deliciously sweet and hearty as could be. Skip your sandwich and have one of these.
If I had to choose one type of beer to keep with me in a bunker, this would certainly be on the top of my list. A noble achievement in beer history, and elite stout. I salute you North Coast Brewing Company. K, time for another.

This beer was really good, and caught me of guard. I sampled this beer with some friends that are not big fans of the dark beers, and they were loving it as well. This beer is a definite crowd pleaser. Although it looks thick in the glass, it is actually a very light drinking beer.
I think its an awesome 7 out of 10
