Look: Coffee black with a slight tan, filmy head
Taste: Roasted, sweet malt
Conclusion: This is an 8.1% ABV Imperial Stout. It pours a relatively medium body and drinks the same. Initially you taste the standard roasted malt flavor but the sweetness is just perfect. This is actually brewed with Louisiana molasses and brown sugar which certainly lend a subtle but polished sweetness.
It's a very drinkable stout...not to thick and just the right mix of hops and roasted malts. No alcohol burn, whatsoever, here. It is a little dry at the finish, but this only helps to make the drink more pleasant.
