Alesmith, Speedway Stout

Look: Midnight black with a dirty white head

Taste: Coffee, roasted malt, toffee

Conclusion: This is a massively powerful stout with 12% ABV and a thick body reminiscent of coffee flavored molasses(is there such a thing?). Although it is a heavy beast it's lightened up by crisp coffee flavoring and the finishing alcohol bite.

This is a highly awarded stout and deservingly so. One of the absolute best I've had. It tends to have a very strong coffee flavor so if you don't like coffee I suppose it might not be the best choice. Quite honestly, I waited weeks before finally giving in and trying this on my own. I didn't think I'd be able to finish the bottle without getting tanked. Well...I did! Booyah! Just hit shy of tanked, but not bad. This is a very powerful stout that demands respect and will earn it with every sip.

9 Brews!
