Widmer Brothers, Snow Plow
Look: Caca brown with a slight film of chocolate brown head
Taste: Creamy roasted malt/barley with chocolate and coffee flavors
Conclusion: This is actually a milk stout. It's brewed with milk sugar which lends it a bit more body and creaminess than a normal stout. It definitely goes down smooth.
It pours like heavy silk and has the same mouthfeel to it. The roasted chocolate and coffee flavors prevail but the creamy consistency of the drink helps it go down easily. I can't say I fancy the prevalent Widmer Brother's hefeweizen, which is why I almost didn't pick up this sixer. Luckily I did and was paid back in full. This is one of the best seasonal brews I had this year and just a great stout regardless of the season.

Hello there. I just stumbled upon your blog today. I can really appreciate what you are doing here. Flavorful micro-brews are the only beers worth drinking.
I offer you my 3 favorites in no particular order.
1. Samuel Smith's Old Brewery Pale Ale
2. New Belgium Brewery's Fat Tire
3. Summit Brewing Co.'s Pale Ale.
I encourage you to try out Summit's line of micro brews. Straight out of St. Paul Minnesota, it is my opinion these are the best the midwest has to offer.
