Look: Black tar colored with a mother-of-pearl colored head
Taste: Bitter initial taste with and aged malt roasted flavor and, yup, a bitter finish
Conclusion: This is a really bitter stout. So much so that I've had several relatives offer me their left over bottles after they couldn't finish them(too bitter). Hey, what can I say, I'm a beer disposal unit.
My uncle used to keep a hefty stock of these in his fridge. His reason? He said it helped to clean out your colon! Well, I can't say I have any solid knowledge about that area but this is one damn bitter stout and you better have two pairs of socks on. It might just blow a pair off. Tasty yet bitter. This is the kind of stout you hate to love or love to hate. There's no in between. Personally I'm a lover but I'm a stout guy. This will be a harsh drink for someone who has never had a bitter stout before. Take head! A classic and strong stout that stands firmly in it's tradition.
