Barney Flats, Oatmeal Stout

Look: Deep rich malt brown with a light brown head

Taste: Roasted barley flavor with hints of chocolate and malt. Ends with a bittery-sweet taste

Conclusion: This brew just tasted wholesome and scrumptious at first sip. I don't know if it was the sweet looking picture of a valley and a moose drinking from the water, but this was a great stout. At first I misread the label and thought it said Barney Fife(spelling?).

The label says it has won a gold medal and I'm inclined to believe them. Nothing too spectacular but such a nice, flavorful oatmeal stout it was. I enjoyed this one down to the last sip.
